Temperament-in-a-Mirror

Lions, (at least real, revolutionist ones), never comment on the shortcoming of jackals.

An important observer, (at least important enough to be quoted by the City Press), opined that, “Perhaps Man’s happiness as much depends on his temperament as his destiny.”  Does no one yet recognize destiny as but temperament-in-a-mirror?

Man’s ordinary history now believes that he may be 4 million years old, but his recorded history only covers the last six thousand years, and once, at a different-angle, I asked a 4-D historian why this might be, why was nothing heard of Man for those first three million, nine hundred and ninety-four thousand years?  He thought for a moment, then said, “As best I recall, in those early days there wasn’t anything special to write home about.”

Once, while out in the bushes alone and in a silly mood, I heard a certain Revolutionist sing, “Oh, who shall comfort the rich?”  But then he realized that it was not a silly internal question.  (…But then, they hardly ever are.)

The words of a man who BELIEVES himself to lie can never be taken with respect and regard by the People, (even though they know not why).  Aren’t you glad, as always, that this little maxim has no pertinence regarding one’s own personal State-of-affairs.
