Amoebas and Mother Mary

You haven’t “arrived” if you must be so informed.

Power, along with certain amoebas, sometimes displays a peculiar ability to spawn progeny while apparently acting alone.  (And to think of the many nights the recruits didn’t love or dance for lack of a partner.)

How can you believe you’re anything “special” if you can’t even be super-ordinary!

I once heard a Revolutionist say to some recruits, regarding their rebellious spirit and zeal, “Use it or lose it.”  (Seems simple AND obvious enough, once you think about it.)

To expect those with power to give-it-up is to expect George Washington to open pop bottles with his teeth and Cincinnatus to return from the wars and become the capital of Ohio.

Another one of my favorite religious scenes in the life-of-Man took place in the Middle East when the soon-to-be mother of one religion’s founders blithely informed her soon-to-be- husband that she was already “with child,” but by an “angel,” and a musician passing by overheard her comment, raised his thumb, and said, “DO it mama.”
