Hello Earth!

If footprints could be eaten,
cyclical diets would be unnecessary.

There was this one fellow
who would refer to himself as, “himself,”
even when he didn’t mean it.

In the City,
if a house could be built
that would never fall –
it couldn’t be lived in.

Although there’s been no official confirmation,
there are reports from the City of unidentified
radio signals being received from a source outside
their system which says, “Hello Earth, Hello Earth!
If you can hear this – don’t bother to reply!”
which may at first sound interesting, but are
suspiciously similar to the noises produced by the
growth of their own individual nervous systems.

If you choke a man hard enough,
he can remember anything.
