The Work looks at a divine reality not as a person to be worshipped, but a state to be realized.

True evil is not sin, but ignorance.  If one were able to fully foresee all the consequences of such deeds, he would never commence the act, or follow his course.

Mechanical rituals
offer mechanical results.

That which ordinary men label “ritualistic” was originally designed for the cultivation of un-mechanical attitudes.  (So up becomes down once again.)

We begin the Struggle looking within, for make no mistake, there is nothing without.  Then, make no mistake, there is nothing within.
