Famous Friday

A certain poet in one City began all of his major works with the same line, “True love always runs at right angles.”  (He became famous for several things; This was not one of them.)

The king announced that, henceforth, anyone caught not taking it all seriously enough runs the risk of being made king for a day, (or so).

A surprise
ain’t worth a damn
to a polar bear.

During the festivities of the Week-End Inquisition, this one chap begged – nay, righteously, (if not intelligently), implored, that his in-place, manicured opinions be ripped out by their fingernails.

This one City guy finally became SO busy that he could afford to be “famous” only on Fridays.
