Flying Lessons

There is a secret police
in charge solely of night time affairs.

 

As the people pondered the selection
of their new monarch, one would-be ruler
announced, "I will allow my name to be
considered on two conditions: One is,
that I must be chosen, and two is,
that I must be chosen.”

The first voice said,
“Only when alone do I feel safe,”,
and a second one noted,
“Only when alone do I feel wise,”
and from somewhere a third voice stated,
“If there's any connection between the two
I'm leaving town.”

While struggling to swim,
one guy learned to fly.

After discovering
that all the great quotes
had been taken
this one guy said,
“I'm goin’ to bed.”
