Punctuation 101
/A man with longish hair noted in the margins of his hymnal,
“The gods do not forsake the literate; when man ran out of
parentheses the heavens gave him brackets.”
(There is a secret, universal 900 number
you can call and hear anything you want to.)
Only open ended processes –
such as thinking – could ever offer
the possibility of unconditional pleasure.
After seeing the rousing ovation a speaker received
when he concluded his comments by declaring,
“Always look on the bright side,” the son of one
ole sore head left thinking, “Pop was right,
Life’s a waste of time.”
One band of merry creatures over in another zone
probably reveal some of their thinking through the
title of their sole handbook which reads,
“Reality – The Supreme Irony.”
