This one guy used to enjoy (as he put it),
“Turning things over in his mind,” that is,
until he discovered he’s been using the wrong organ.

People don’t really yearn for things,
but rather for the processes from which they’re drawn.

A king who’s impressed even with himself
is a sight to behold…(and a damned lap-full
should he decide to sit on you).

Adjectives are a stop-gap measure.

This one planet, when deemed appropriate,
used to issue a “Fear Alert” until they
frightened everyone off to a neighboring world.
