Elementary

Over by the Complaint Counter at the City Opera, a fellow told me that years ago his best friend was himself; (he quickly added that that was long before he fully realized just what kinda fellow he actually was).

After all his comments,
whether pithy, or ponderous,
this one guy’d always say,
“Ah, you had to be there,
you had to be there,”
which was easy for him to say,
since he didn’t have to be there.

“Kids are supposed to be dumb,”
someone told the kid, and the kid said,
“I know.”

This one guy truly had about
“all he could take”…(ha ha, get it? – It’s a joke.)

Man’s morality is an element
in the chemical formula
for one of Life’s growth hormones.
